VII: dysFUNctional
is the exhibition catalog for the seventh challenge to artists by
the Wood Turning Center of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The full color
book displays the 33 works by the 30 artists chosen for this exploration
-- with a sense of humor -- of function and dysfunction.
It includes commentaries
about, and the artists' statements on, each of their works. In addition,
there are essays on the Exhibitions Committee's intention for the
challenge and an appreciation of its results and importance. An unusual
aspect of this book is that it includes a ground-breaking interactive
guide to the exhibition for students and others to further explore
this innovative concept.
